Dear Editor,
A telephone pole supplying internet and telephone service to the 5th Street Cummings Lodge area fell to the ground more than a month ago. As a concerned parent of two young men attending the University of Guyana, I have made several reports to GTT. All I am being told is that a report has been made, but so far nothing has been done to rectify the situation. My children (as do many others) need the internet for research in their relevant fields of study, as well as the telephone to be in contact with me, as I do not reside in Georgetown. I would be grateful if you could use your good publication to bring to light the dire need for these services by so many students attending UG, and who reside in this area.
