‘Frosty meter’

Dear Editor,

I must thank you so much for publishing my letter in your paper so promptly on the topic ‘No meter reader’ on November 10, 2016.

A lady called me on the very day that the letter was published and said that she is now reading my letter and will be sending someone to look at the meter. A gentleman came about two hours after the lady spoke to me ‒ that was quick ‒ and after looking at the meter, he told me that the meter is frosty and he left.

He must have reported to his superior, but I have heard nothing from GPL since, and it is almost two weeks since the gentleman came and looked at the meter. I tried calling the lady who had called me but it appeared as if the switchboard is not working, so I am relying on the newspaper to help me out.

I need GPL to attend to the frosty meter so that the meter readers can continue their work of reading my meter and sending in their report to GPL monthly, so there would be no estimation of my monthly consumption.

Yours faithfully,

J Kadaru
