Eight-goal Trim steals the show

Led by an eight-goal blitz from emerging talent Jolade Trim, Kwakwani Strikers recorded the largest margin of victory in the National Association for Women’s Football (NAWF) Developmental League, swamping Kuru-Kururu Warriors 15-1 on Saturday.

The talented Trim stole the show at the Kwakwani Community Centre ground as she effectively ended the contest with six goals in the opening half. Trim scored in the first, eighth, 10th, 12th, 18th and 27th minute before following up with two more strikes in the 32nd and 60th minute.

Adding to the lopsided scoreline with a double was Odesa Smith. She netted in the fourth and 37th minute while Lensey Adolph, Ashannah Williams, Ariel Hardman, Norlene Rodgers and Onasha Williams scored in the 21st, 40th, 55th, 57th and 59th minute apiece.

On target for the losing side in the 27th minute was Deslin DeSouza. In the second matchup, West Side Conquerors upset Demerara Queens 1-0. Terryann Braithwaite and Rebecca Nurse scored in the 22nd and 35th minute respectively.

Over at the Camp Ayanganna ground, the Guyana Defence Forde (GDF) edged Fruta Conquerors 1-0 while Foxy Ladies downed Bartica 5-3.
