Wisrock, Quiet Storm, Big Guns, Hard Knocks, Amazing advance to group stage

Wisrock, Quiet Storm, Big Guns, Amazing and Hard Knocks sealed their berths to the group round, when the playoff round in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden leg concluded yesterday.

Staged at the Silvercity Hard-Court, Wisrock crushed Exodus by a 4-0 scoreline, while Quiet Storm blew away All-Star Blazers 4-1.

Meanwhile, Big Guns erased Red Line 3-0. On the other hand, Amazings overcame Haynes Hitters 2-1, while Hard Knocks needled Coomacka 1-0.

In other results, Assassa Ballers and NK Ballers defeated Attention Family and Ripping Bullets via respective walkovers. Also, Next Level downed Block Yard via walkover.

The tournament will officially kick-off on April 15th at the Mackenzie Bus Park Tarmac. The other playing dates are April 20th, 22nd, 25th, May 1st and 5th.

East Coast zone  

Meanwhile, the East Coast Demerara zone will conclude on Saturday at the Haslington Tarmac.

Defending champion Melanie-B will oppose Uprising in the first semi-final at 20:30hrs, while Buxton United will face-off with Paradise-A from 21:15hrs.

Meanwhile, the Guinness Plate Championship will feature the four teams that failed to advance from the group stage.

Victoria Church Yard will battle Mahaica at 19:30hrs, while BV-A will oppose Belfield from 20:00hrs.
