North Georgetown (District 11) proved yet again yesterday that when it comes to the pool, the city swimmers are head and shoulders above the competition.

The swimmers emphatically defended their turf at the National Aquatic Centre amassing 434 points on Day Two of the 58th National Schools’ Cycling, Swimming and Track and Field Championships.

They were 115 points clear of closest rival Upper Demerara/Kwakwani which recorded 319 points.

The swimmers from District 12 finished third on 213 points.
