ANSA McAl under its Smalta and I-Cool brands, has thrown its support behind the Petra Organization-coordinated KFC Goodwill Football Championship, which is slated to commence on Saturday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the aforesaid venue yesterday, Non-Alcoholic Brand Manager Errol Nelson stated that the entity is proud to be onboard with the event, as it aligns with the company’s objective in fostering social cohesion and youth development.

Meanwhile, Petra Organisation Co-Director Troy Mendonca thanked the company for their continued support, adding that their contributions aid immensely in providing a continuous platform for football development at the youth level.

The three-day event will feature four schools competing in a league format. GuyOil/Tradewind Tankers League winner Annandale will lead the local contingent, which also features league runner-up Christianburg/Wismar and Annai Secondary.

On the other hand, 2016 Trinidad and Tobago South Zone School champion Shiva Boys Hindu College will round off the participants.

The opening match at 17:00hrs, will pit Annandale against Christianburg, while Shiva Boys will lock horns with Annai from 19:00hrs.

On December 18th, Christianburg/Wismar will oppose Annai at 17:00hrs, with, Shiva Boys engaging Annandale from 19:00hrs.

The final match on December 22nd will witness Annandale tackling Annai from 17:00hrs, and Shiva Boys matching skills at 19:00hrs. Entry to the venue is pegged at $500.
