Snakes and ladders at expense of nation

Dear Editor,

My head hurts from the judicial and other contortions of Guyanese politics. It is like a game of snakes and ladders except it involves the future of a nation!

Up the ladder goes BJ on the vote of confidence in December, then further up with CJ George in January, The snake awaited him at the Appeal Court in March where two learned judges could not divide by two. DG finds a new ladder. Then the start of a new game in Trinidad. Up the ladder for BJ after the June 18th whitewash at the CCJ. But then down a snake as those eminent judges wanted extra time to issue orders.

I am a simple soul but I am confused. What of the nation?

Yours faithfully,
John ‘Bill Cotton/Reform’
