Recently crowned GBTI female open lawn tennis champ, Afruica Gentle continued her recent excellent form by booking a semifinal place in the ongoing Touch Tuina Blue Mountain Caribbean Junior Tennis Championships currently being held in Jamaica.
The 18-year old Guyanese recorded an easy first-round win over Jamaican Kalila Morris and hardly broke a sweat as she took the match 6-1, 6-0 on Monday.
Gentle continued her dominant showing yesterday with another compelling win, this time defeating the number two seeded player, Kailey Chin also of Jamaica 6-1, 6-0 to book her semifinal sport.
Her championship aspirations continue today where she is set to combat the number one seeded player in a bid to advance to the final as she did in 2018.
