Trinidad boy shot dead in living room

(Trinidad Express) A 16 year old boy was gunned down in his mother’s home at Guayaguayare on Sunday.

Christon Smith, also known as “Pumpkin”, was shot multiple times and died on the living room floor.

His mother, Martha Smith, 40, was at her home at Vespree Extension, Ferrier Circular, Newlands Village when she heard explosions coming from the front of the house around 11.40 p.m.

Upon checking she found her son in a pool of blood, with gunshot injuries to the face.

Police recovered five spent shells and two projectiles were recovered from the scene. The mother told officers that her son was a Form Three pupil of Guayaguaya Secondary School and he lived at La Brea Village, Guayaguayare.

The killing took the murder toll to 268, according to an Express tally.
