Guyana Beverages Incorporated [GBI] renewed their long-standing partnership with Tucville-based  Fruta Conquerors, inking a one-year contract yesterday during a simple presentation ceremony  at the Red Cross facility, Eve Leary.

The signing of the contract sealed the 22nd year of partnership between the two entities.    Samuel Arjune, General Manager of GBI, said that the entity was proud to attach its name to the Conquerors brand.  “We had no hesitation in supporting the club and we are thankful once again for the opportunity,” he declared.

He challenged the government as well as other members of the corporate sector to support and match the investment in sports clubs to the tune of his company, declaring that the institution is focused on the development of the human capital through sports.     Arjune also charged the club to continue its development in the grassroots sector, while establishing a female arm and a business model to generate revenue and become self-sustainable.

Club President Collin Gittens thanked the company for its continued and long lasting contribution, declaring that their continued partnership highlights their commitment to the development of sport.

Gittens said the company’s sustained partnership should serve as an example for the private sector, pointing out that the contributions have served well in achieving the club’s mission of producing and developing quality players and individuals.
