Caribbean Airlines ships underwater vehicle for Ramps Logistics

Caribbean Airlines is highlighting its cargo delivery capabilities after it recently shipped a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) used in the oil industry utilising its All Cargo Freighter.

Caribbean Airlines Cargo teamed up with RAMPS Logistics to ship the ROV, a statement from the airline said. It noted that ROV’s are underwater vehicles that are used in the oil and gas industry for deep water exploration and development projects. ROV’s relay data and visual information to rig personnel to provide support for drilling and subsea construction.

“This shipment was extremely time sensitive, and Caribbean Airlines Cargo provided us with the solution to get it to its destination and ultimately enabled us to fulfil our client’s needs efficiently with cost savings,” RAMPS Operations Director Rudy Rampersad was quoted as saying.

The statement observed that the oil and gas industry requires, safe, reliable and cost effective delivery at all times and Caribbean Airlines Cargo is able to successfully provide this service.
