Riddim Sqaud crushes Pouderoyen

Riddim Squad crushed Pouderoyen while Pele and Dynamics battled to a draw when the fourth  annual Limacol football competition  continued on Thursday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

The Mocha-based Riddim Squad brushed aside West Demerara outfit Pouderoyen  3-0.

Kevin Gordon commenced the rout with a 10th minute strike into the far corner. Stealing the ball from the right-back, Gordon raced into the box and curled his effort past the custodian.

That conversion was followed by a fortuitous Michael Charles attempt in the 24th minute.  A goalkeeping error led to the conversion after  a corner kick saw the goalkeeper dropping the ball allowing the forward to pounce and finish into the net.

The score was then sealed in the 53rd minute as Gordon completed his brace with another thumping effort.

Receiving the ball at the top of the penalty area following a pass from the left side, Gordon uncorked a powerful strike into the back of the net.

Meanwhile, Pele and Dynamics battled to a 3-3 draw. Julius Hamilton recorded a hat trick for Dynamics in the fourth, 37th and 51st minute.

For Pele, Dorwin George, Mark Jhalu and Akosie Jarvis netted in the 18th, 54th and 58th minute respectively.
