Mocha in lopsided 8-0 defeat of Soesdyke

Mocha brushed aside Soesdyke while Samatta Point/Kaneville downed Friendship when the East Bank Football Association [EBFA] Zone in the NAMILCO U17 Championship continued yesterday at the National Training Center, Providence. 

Mocha secured the result compliments of a lopsided 8-0 score in the 70 minute showdown.

It was a clinical performance from the Mocha unit in the attacking third, as they effectively sealed the win at the end of the first stanza following a 4-0 score.

Warren Williams commenced the rout in the fifth minute, with Kevin Gordon quickly increasing the lead five minutes later. The score ballooned once in the 15th minute as Ranston Kennedy scored.

Four minutes later Gavin Hunter got into the scoring act. The carnage continued in the second period with a further four goals.

In the space of three minutes the score jumped to 7-0 as Tyrese Powell, Tariq Pryce and  Kennedy recorded conversions in the 49th, 50th and 51st minute apiece.

Cupid Lovell then applied the finishing touch with a 68th minute shot. Meanwhile, Samatta Point/Kaneville defeated Friendship 3-1. 

Falling behind to a 27th minute effort from Kobe Robertson, Samatta Point/Kaneville secured the result compliments of three unanswered goals.

Denzel Garraway led the scoreline in the 33rd minute, before Kareem Richmond made his presence felt to push his side into the lead in the 41st minute. 

The come-from-behind win was then completed in the 66th minute when Remzien Peters scored. 

Timehri Panthers-A secured a walkover victory against Herstelling Raiders.

Over at the Den Amstel ground in the West Demerara zone, home side Den Amstel played to a scoreless draw with Hurry ATE. Also, Eagles defeated Wales via walkover.

Meanwhile walkovers highlighted the action in the East Coast Demerara section at the Victoria Community ground. 

Melanie defeated Buxton Stars via walkover while Buxton United defeated Dynamics via the identical route.
