Trinidad appoints Deryck Murray as High Commissioner to Jamaica

(Trinidad Express) Cricket legend Deryck Lance Murray has been appointed to the post of as High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Jamaica.

Businessman Edward Ayin has been appointed High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Canada.

The announcements were late in a late night press release from the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.

According to the Ministry, the new Heads of Mission will work to deepen bilateral and multilateral partnerships as they seek to advance the interests of Trinidad and Tobago in the countries to which they are accredited and globally.

 “They will be guided by the Government’s policy framework which outlines national security, energy, trade and industry, health care, education, agriculture and tourism as some of the key areas of the national development agenda that form part of their remit” the Ministry stated.
