DeSinco Trading Limited yesterday donated food supplies to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) for Region Eight.

The Department of Public Information (DPI) said that these items will be distributed to residents in Potaro-Sipuruni who are currently experiencing drought conditions.  Director-General of the CDC, Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig said that “Guyana is not only impacted by floods but droughts and prolonged dry seasons as well. So, these supplies will be distributed to several Indigenous communities in Region 8; in areas such as Kanapang and Kamana Village among others.”

DPI said that the Director-General commended the management of DeSinco Trading Limited for the assistance and noted that the company has often partnered with the Commission to provide emergency supplies in times of need.

De Sinco Limited’s Brand Manager, Aisha D’ Abreu also mentioned that the company recently supplied items for relief and care packages distributed by the CDC to resident affected by flood in Region 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
