The semifinal spots for the three different categories in this year’s GTT National Indoor Hockey Championship were decided Sunday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue with GCC clubs occupying six of the slots after the final round of matches.
The men’s first-division semis will see defending champions Pepsi Hikers, led by the goal-scoring machine, Aroydy Branford, taking on Saints while Warren Williams’ YMCA Old Fort Delta Force will battle against Bounty GCC.
Occupying the semi-final spots in the women’s first-division category are front runners GBTI GCC Tigers who are bracing to take on the defending champions Woodpecker Hikers.
The other semi-finals will pit GBTI GCC Spice against their in-form and younger counterparts GBTI GCC Spartans led by the slippery Abosaide Cadogan who netted four goals against Saints to book her side’s last four spot.
Semi-finals action in the men’s second category will feature a battle between YMCA Old Fort Top Form and Bounty GCC Pitbulls.
Saints Sensations, on the other hand, will go head-to-head with Bounty GCC The Sequal in the other semi-final.
Bounty GCC Vintage and YMCA Old Fort Hot Shotz will go up against each other in the final of the over 35-division.
