Home side Uitvlugt and Pouderoyen secured victories when the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) leg of the NAMILCO u17 Football Championship continued on Saturday.
Hosted at the Uitvlugt Community Ground, Uitvlugt overcame a 2-0 second-half deficit to prevail 6-2 over fierce rival Den Amstel.
Jamal Robinson and Chris Smith gave Den Amstel the initial advantage compliments of goals in the 18th and 26th minute respectively.
However the hosts fought back in the second half, banging in six unanswered goals. Travis Fraser led the comeback with five goals.
He found the back of the net in the 36th, 58th, 72nd, 74th and 76th minute. Adding a goal in the 64th minute was Malcolm Dainty.
Meanwhile Pouderoyen downed Hurry ATE 2-0. Omallie Anderson and Jarrell Phoenix scored goals in the 28th and 57th minute respectively.
