Queen’s Park continues impressive display

George United, Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force [TTDF], Hikers and Queen’s Park continued their impressive displays when the Diamond Mineral Water Indoor Hockey Festival continued on Friday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

George United defeated defending women’s champion GCC Tigers 3-2. Brianna Govia bagged a brace while Savanah DeFreitas scored one goal for the winner. For the losera, Marzana Fiedtkou and Dominique DeGroot scored one goal each. George United also dismantled Red Wyne 8-0.

TTDF claimed wins against Bounty GCC 6-4 and Saints 5-1 in Men’s Division. They would also battle to a 1-1 stalemate with Queens Park. Continuing in the same section, Pepsi Hikers defeated Bounty GCC 6-5. They would then contest a 5-5 draw with Queen’s Park.

On the other hand, Queen’s Park downed Old Fort 4-1 and Saints 8-2. Meanwhile, GCC Tigers crushed Red Wyne 6-0, while Spartans defeated Saints 4-1. Abosaide Cadogan and Sarah Klautky bagged doubles in the win. For the losers, Clayzia Bobb scored once.

In the Lucozade veterans division, Old Forde defeated Fatima 6-2, while GCC Vintage downed Fatima 5-1. Also Fatima and Queen’s Park battled to a 3-3 draw.
