`Bat your own ball’ tapeball competition on today

Organiser James Lewis’s novelty event, the bat your own ball tapeball competition will get underway from 9am today at the Durban Park Tarmac.

The event is being contested for the Prime Minister’s Trophy, a press release from the organizer stated.

At stake are cash prizes for the winning and runner-up teams.

On Friday, the Minister of Agriculture, knockout, Inter-Ministry dominoes competition got underway among the many government agencies.  At stake in that competition is $100,000 in prize monies for top three teams.

The competitions will end Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground with a seven-a-side football, softball cricket, track and field and novelty events, the release stated.

Trophies, medals and cash incentives are up for grabs.
