“We cannot have officers stagnated who execute their duties without fear or favour, are courteous and hardworking. As long as you perform your duties in a manner where your superiors can describe you as hardworking, diligent and courteous you will be rewarded. All 14 of you are now promoted from the rank you currently hold to the rank immediately above.” Commissioner James told the officers, according to DPI.

Promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal are officers Huge, McBeth, Gordon and Amour while promoted to the rank of Corporal are officers Fernandes, Williams, Lynch, Daniels, Sejogie, Douglas, Rhnobe and McCloud. Two ranks Abrams and Beharry were promoted to the rank of Sergeant, DPI said.
