The police in Region 8 (Potaro-Siparuni) are probing the disappearance of four children who have been missing for more than a week now.
Missing are Stephen Peters, 16; Carlos Peters, 12; Delon Peters, 10 and Patrick Peters, 12, students of the Paramakatoi Primary and Secondary schools and of Paramakatoi village.
The children are all related.
Reports are that the children were last seen around 10.30am on January 3rd when they departed Paramakatoi village to go to their parents at Tiperu backdam, North Pakaraimas.
The distance is approximately some two and a half days walking.
However, when the parents arrived at the location, the children were not there.
Several checks were made on the trail by the parents who came up empty-handed.
