Missing Paramakatoi children found safe

The four children of Paramakatoi village, Region 8, who were reported missing earlier this month have been found safe and have since been reunited with their parents.

A police source yesterday informed Stabroek News that the children: Stephen Peters, 16; Carlos Peters, 12; Delon Peters, 10 and Patrick Peters, 12, were found by ranks of the Guyana Defence Force on Saturday.

Stabroek News had previously reported that the children of the Paramakatoi Primary and Secondary schools, who are all related were last seen around 10.30 am on January 3rd when they departed Paramakatoi village to go to their parents at Tiperu backdam, North Pakaraimas.

The distance is approximately some two and a half days walking.

However, when the parents arrived at the location, the children were not there.

It is suspected that the children lost their way during the journey.
