Marian Academy Schools mixed relay c/ships on Saturday

As part of their Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificates [CSEC], the Physical Education [PE] fifth form students of Marian Academy will stage a Schools Mixed Relay Championships Saturday at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary from 9:00hrs.

According to a release from the school, the event is a CSEC class project and will be executed by the PE students of the Carifesta Avenue-based institution for the Caribbean examinations in May-June this year.

Among the relay events that will be contested during the one day event are the 4x100m, 4x400m, 800m, and 1500m respectively. The age groups which will be eligible to participate are U14, U16, U18 as well as Open boys and girls.

“The relay championship is open to all schools. Schools desirous of participating can contact the PE teacher, Keith Smith, of the CSEC fifth form students on any of the following numbers: 675-5566 or 659-0560. First, second and third place schools will be awarded trophies while the respective top three finishers in the respective events will receive medals.”
