These were not Region Nine vehicles

Dear Editor,

I refer to your article `Auditor General’s report queries costs for vehicle repairs in regions’ (SN Monday 27th January 2020).

Please be informed that on page 18 of the said newspaper there is a matrix outlining Vehicle numbers, Description, and amounts expended in 2017, and amounts expended in 2018.

Under this matrix is the following explanation: “Table showing the sums spent by the Regional Administration of Region 9 to maintain twelve (12) vehicles in the year 2018.”

Editor I would like to assure you that none of the Vehicles, Boats and Equip-ment listed belong to Region 9. In fact there are three tables published and none of the listed Vehicles, Boats and Equip-ment mentioned in either of those tables belong to the Upper Takutu/Upper Esse-quibo Region.

It is therefore obvious that this is a misprint, and I therefore request that this information be corrected.

Yours faithfully,

Carl Parker

Regional Executive Officer

Upper Takutu/Upper Essequibo

Region # 9

Editor’s note: The vehicles pertained to Region Seven. Stabroek News regrets the error.
