Albion, RHC elect new executives

Albion and Rose Hall Canje Community Centre Cricket clubs last week held Annual General Meetings and lection of office bearers with Vemen Walter and Dr Cecil Beharry elected president of the respective clubs.

On Wednesday, Walter was returned to the helm of Albion unopposed and will run the club for the year 2020.

The new Vice-President is Ervin Mangru. Omarnauth Outar was elected Secretary while David Brigbhukan is the Treasurer. Former president, Imtiaz Bacchus was elected Assistant Secretary/Treasurer while Shiv Persaud, Prem Kanhai and Devendra Bishoo are the committee members.

Treasurer of the Berbice Cricket Board and former club president, Beharry took over from Roy Jaffarally as president of Rose Hall Canje.

Charran Singh and Zahir Hussain were relected first and third Vice-President respectively while Mark Sampson is the second Vice-President.

Also reelected were Vishaka Singh as Secretary, Geetanjalie Beharry as Treasurer and Ameera Adram as Assistant Treasurer/Secretary.

The committee members are Budram Ramoutar, Rovin Bahadur, Veerasammy Mootoosammy and Joel Sietaram while Ameer Rahaman is the Public Relations Officer.

The Berbice Cricket Board has issued a statement congratulating the two clubs on their recent elections and wished them well over their term. BCB president, Hilbert Foster, reassured the clubs of his support in an effort to further develop the game in Berbice.
