Procurement body debars M Sukhai Contracting Services for one year

The Public Procurement Commission (PPC) today announced that it has debarred Manboadram Sukhai trading as M. Sukhai Contracting Services of 499 Block III New Providence, East Bank Demerara for one year effective April 22, 2020 from bidding for state contracts over the supply of false information.

In a notice in today’s Stabroek News under the signature of Chairperson Carol Corbin, the PPC said that the suspension was issued pursuant to Regulation 16 of the Procurement (Suspension and Debarment) Regulations 2019.

The notice said that the ground for debarment is contained in Regulation 3 (1) (h) which empowers the Commission to debar a contractor from bidding who has “supplied false information in the process of submitting a bid…”

Earlier this month,  the PPC announced that it had debarred Mohan Surujpaul trading as M Surujpaul General Construction and General Service from bidding for state contracts for three years on the same grounds.

The address for M Surujpaul Trading was listed as 57 Market Street, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.
