Skeletal remains found at High and Princes Sts

The skeletal remains of an unidentified person were discovered in an abandoned building on High and Princes streets, Georgetown earlier this month.

Although the discovery was made three weeks ago, information was only released to the media yesterday.

A police source confirmed the discovery was made around 7.30am on June 3rd. The building in which the remains were found belongs to a businessman of Subryanville.

The source explained that missing person reports will be examined and DNA testing is likely to be done in an effort to identify the remains.

Reports are that a security guard of a gas station located on High and Princes streets was on duty when he reported that he smelt an obnoxious scent coming from the building opposite his work place.

As a result the police were summoned. Upon arrival, ranks entered the building when they saw what appeared to be a skeletal remains of a human lying on the ground.

The scene was processed after which the remains were escorted to the Lyken’s Funeral home.

Several persons in the area were questioned but no useful information was obtained.
