(Trinidad Express) Oropune resident Saglal Samlalsingh, 32, is to appear before the Arima Magistrates’ Court to answer three charges including that of murder.
Samlalsingh, aka “Pain”, of Seventh Street, Oropune Gardens, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the September 2018 killing of Dillon Victory at Building 2, 5th Street, Oropune Gardens.
Following the execution of a search warrant at his home on Monday, he was positively identified in a verification exercise as a person of interest in the homicide.
In addition to the charged of murder, following the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, Samlalsingh will also answer to the charges of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
The charges were laid by WPC Karla Timothy of the Homicide Bureau Region II on Wednesday, and the enquiry was supervised by ASP (Ag) Douglas and Insp (Ag) Rebeiro.
