The New Movement encourages GECOM Chair to remain steadfast to recount numbers

Dear Editor,

Our country has been in a crisis politically, medically and economically over the past four months and twenty three days. However, out of the misery and frustration, we have seen just individuals emerge with high morals and standards. The New Movement (TNM) has noted one of these individuals to be the GECOM chairwoman, Retired Justice Claudette Singh.

Madam Chair, TNM wants to encourage you to remain in high spirits for the end is near. We have seen the disheartening statements and antics hurled your way by protestors of the sanctioned government and we are not pleased. We want you to know that this small group’s plans to thwart this entire process will not be fruitful. You have shown utmost courage, bravery and patriotism over the past months and we thank you.

The nation is looking up to you and we anxiously but eagerly await the declaration of the president elect. We encourage you to remain steadfast to the true numbers produced during the recount process, which you executed and completed in a safe and efficient manner. The task ahead is great and only a substantial person, like you, can take it head on.

Keep the faith, TNM stands for you and not against you. We leave this quote with you by Rosa Parks, “You must never be fearful about what you’re doing when it’s right.” God bless you Retired Justice Claudette Singh.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Josh Kanhai,

General Secretary
