The police in Region Six conducted a drug eradication exercise on Friday at Ekura, Canje Creek, Berbice during, which they found and destroyed two acres of marijuana cultivation.
According to the Guyana Police Force, the exercise lasted for ten hours. During the exercise, about 6,000 plants, ranging from one to three inches in height, one make-shift camp and ten pounds of cannabis were found.
They were photographed and destroyed by fire.
No arrests were made, the police said.
