That person was only identified as a 43-year-old woman who was a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital’s (GPH) transitional ward. The Ministry noted that upon admission, the 43-year-old woman was swabbed for the virus and the results which were returned subsequent to her death showed that she was positive for the virus.

As of 2pm on Wednesday, the health ministry recorded the 27th COVID-19 fatality who was identified as a 72-year-old man who was a patient at the GPH’s COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit. The patient, they noted, succumbed after receiving care in the facility for five days.
