The International Karate Organisation [IKO] Academy of Guyana joined the list of local sports associations to engage Guyana’s recently appointed Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Charles Ramson Jr.

The delegation which was led by the Chairman and Chief Instructor of the IKO Academy of Guyana Shihan Jeffrey Wong met with the new sports boss earlier in the week at his office on Main Street, Georgetown.

Topping the agenda was a presentation delivered by Vice President of the karate body, Waynewright Orderson, relating to the academy’s plans to develop the sport in Guyana over the next five years and beyond.

The Minister thanked the group for the visit and assured the Academy as an avid sportsman himself, of his commitment and that of his ministry to working along with all sporting bodies for the benefit of the people of Guyana.
