Committee formed to develop para-archery locally

Archery Guyana has commissioned a Specially Convened Committee, whose overall objective is to development the sport of para-archery locally.

This is according to a release from the local federation. According to the correspondence, the decision to formulate the committee comes on the heels of a World Archery America online forum on the development of the format.

“This initiative by the Board of Directors of Archery Guyana, follows on the heels of their attendance at the recently held World Archery Americas Meeting on the development of Para-Archery conducted via the Zoom Platform.”

The release added that the committee will consist of five members who are Mohamed Khan, Nicholas Hing, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, Ganesh Singh and Shane Rampertab. 

According to the release, “This interactive session was chaired by MJ Rogers from the USA with Guyana being represented at this important Introduction to Para-Archery Seminar by the five Archery Guyana members tasked to continue the development in this area.

“The committee is scheduled to meet soon with the other member, Para-Archery Coach, Mr. Umasankar Madray who has for the past year been working to further development in this area,” the release ended.
