Dear Editor,
Catfish, that unsalted but sumptuous, tasty and delicious fresh water life synonymous with our native land, banned some years ago up north, is now the subject of ridicule and tasteless reference.
The call was made several times for steps to be taken by respective governments for the trade to be restored. Now that is being done unsavory comments such as ‘catfish mentality’ and ‘catfish country with catfish leaders’ among others are making the rounds.
I will enjoy my catfish curry and let those who insist on being catfish ridiculous carry on.
