A burglar, who is accused of breaking into Courts Guyana Inc, located at Main and St. Ann streets, New Amsterdam, and carting off several items on Wednesday night, was arrested after he was busted with the items near to the location.
According to information gathered, the suspect, 38, who is from Timmers Dam, Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, stole one 43” TCL flat screen television and several cellular phones.
After being informed, ranks during the wee hours of yesterday quickly arrived at the location where they noticed that the glass on the main access door had been smashed.
The ranks then began to search the area and they found the suspect in close proximity with the stolen items.
He was arrested and taken to the New Amsterdam Police Station where the items were lodged.
Stabroek News was told yesterday afternoon, that investigators were on the hunt for a second suspect.
