After more than eight months, local athletes got their competitive juices flowing once again on Sunday when the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) staged Cross Country events in Linden and in New Amsterdam.

The welcome return to athletics which ran off at the Bayrock and the Esplanade Grounds simultaneously, kick- started the 2020/2021 activities of the AAG.

A huge turnout which was envisioned came to fruition as the athletes who were hungry for competition showed up in their numbers wearing masks.
