BCB commences distribution of gear donated by Minister Bharrat

Mere days after receiving a quantity of cricket gear from new Patron, Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat, the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has already begun distributing the equipment.

The Hilbert Foster-led board, during the preceding week, handed out  equipment to youth players, Ayinde Rogers of West Berbice and Matthew Pottaya of Rose Hall, a release from the BCB stated.

The board also ensured that Romesh Paras, Arifrizal Kadir, Delon Hendor, and Lakeram Singh were equipped with the necessary tools to further their cricket ambitions, the release added.

The beneficiaries were drawn from Port Mourant, Albion, Tucber Park, and Rose Hall Canje CC. Seven more players will also be the recipient of cricket equipment. “President Hilbert Foster at the presentation ceremony… urged the players to take care of their gear and to develop a culture of hard work, discipline and commitment while remaining focused. Mr. Foster also spoke of the importance of education and disclosed that over the last 30 months, over 200 youths have benefitted from donations of gear and bicycles [from the BCB],” the release from the board noted.
