The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) is once again at the forefront of another cricket gear distribution drive, this time through the “Clayton Lambert Gear Programme.”

The BCB, via a release, said the distribution drive will even reach Berbice’s riverain areas.

“President Hilbert Foster had a long and fruitful discussion with the former Berbice captain [Clayton Lambert] and it was decided [that] due to the large amount of gear, the donation would spread across the entire county.

“A special donation would be made to the teams in the Berbice River sub-association while the following clubs that have junior cricket teams are asked to submit the amount of players names,” the release noted.

Players from Edinburgh, East Bank Blazers, Guymine, Bush Lot United, Bush Lot Rising Stars, Blairmont, Achievers, Bath and Paradise (West Berbice), Tucber Park, Mt Sinai, Rose Hall Canje, Kendall Union -(New Amsterdam /Canje) Albion, RHTYSC, Port Mourant, No 73, Rama Krishna, Scottsburg (Lower and Central Corentyne) were identified as part of the initial recipients.

The above-mentioned clubs are also asked to submit the names of two under 15 players to receive white uniforms under the said project.  The deadline for submission of the list to the President, Secretary or Asst. Secretary of the BCB is Monday.
