Twenty-six new COVID cases registered

Twenty-six new COVID cases were recorded yesterday with fifteen of them originating from Region Ten, according to the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) dashboard.

Five other regions have recorded the remaining eleven cases. They are region 1 with 1 new case, region 2 (1 new case), region 3 (2 new cases), region 4 (6 new cases) and region 9 (1 new case).

Three patients are in the ICU while the numbers in institutional isolation have significantly dropped to 39 from Tuesday’s 62. There are 726 persons in home isolation while for institutional quarantine, the number of persons remains at 35.

For the first two days of December, a total of 640 persons more were shown to have been tested from which 43 persons were found positive for the virus.

The death toll remains at 151.
