29 more COVID-19 cases recorded by Guyana

The Ministry of Health yesterday reported that 29 additional cases of COVID-19 have been recorded, taking the total number of cases recorded by Guyana to 6,105.

According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, 5 of the new cases are from Region One, 7 from Region Three, 14 from Region Four, and 1 case each from Region Five, Region Seven and Region Ten. Additionally, it was revealed that 5 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 36 in institutional isolation, 600 in home isolation and 22 persons are in institutional quarantine.

It was also disclosed that 5,305 persons who were infected with the disease have recovered while 159 persons have died.

Meanwhile, based on the dashboards released from last Sunday to yesterday, 226 new cases were detected from 1,951 tests done during the same period.
