A vendor was granted bail last Thursday after she denied a charge of receiving stolen articles.
Gangadai Dookhoo, 65, of Free Yard, Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice, appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh at the Whim Magistrate’s Court, where she was charged with the crime.
Dookhoo was not required to plead but she was granted bail in the sum $50,000. The matter has been adjourned until February 1st.
