West Berbice hire car driver dies after crashing into fence

A hire car driver died on Friday after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed into a fence along Number 42 Village Public Road, West Coast Berbice.

Dead is Parmanand Kalamadeen, 28, of Lot 125 B Woodley Park Village, West Coast Berbice.

According to information gathered, at just around 4 pm Kalamadeen was proceeding in HC 8700, allegedly at a fast rate, when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence.

He was rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“My son is a very loving boy. He don’t smoke, he don’t drink, he don’t fight,” Kalamadeen’s mother, Jaclyn O’Neil, yesterday said as she remembered him.
