Providence Phase Three in desperate need of proper roads

Dear Editor,

Please grant me a space in your newspaper to bring to the relevant authority the plight and daily suffering the residents of Providence Phase Three are enduring. For the past two years, we have been bringing this issue up in the ministry of housing and as of today, no relief is in sight.  This village that is less than five years old does not have proper roads for cars and pedestrians alike, it takes approximately ten minutes to drive through filth and mud to get out to the main access road. Now that the rainy season is upon us, it has gone from bad to worse. We are experiencing the worst period that is unacceptable, even taxis and minibuses are refusing to come to our village, pedestrians with children must walk through the swamp daily to get out of the village.

Editor, we had some sort of hope that this new Government would have been caring and listen to our plight, we have been tolerant and even considerate driving and walking in swamp every day while the government settled in, but how much longer can we continue to live in conditions like this?

Yours faithfully,

N. Singh
