The police say that an inmate at the Lusignan Prison was yesterday found with cannabis hidden in his pants waist.
Following a search conducted at the prison yesterday afternoon at 14:25 hrs, the 23-year-old inmate who is on remand, was found with the illicit substance in his pants waist. It was stated by the police that the cannabis amounting to 7 grammes was in a small transparent resealable plastic bag.
According to the police, the contents of the bag were weighed in his presence and he was told of the offence committed, and cautioned according to the Judge’s Rules. The police said that the man admitted ownership after he was cautioned.
