The police are investigating the robbery of an East Ruimveldt resident who was attacked at gun point by a known suspect.
According to the police, Kaya Dover, 26, of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was yesterday robbed at gunpoint by an individual who is known to the police. The police have disclosed that the robbery occurred at 04: 45 hrs. The man was approached by the robber who was “staggering by” and asked for a drink of water. He then pointed a handgun at Dover’s chest and proceeded to relieve him of items including jewellery, documents, and gadgets, amounting to almost $500,000.
Police say several persons are being questioned as part of the investigations into the incident.
