Relatives of a Crabwood Creek woman, who was recently reported missing, are now seeking the public’s help to find her as they say police have not made any efforts to assist.

Missing is Bibi Fareeda Khan, 53, of Lot 27 Grant 1780, Crabwood creek. According to relatives, the woman, a mother of six, was last seen on March 1.

The relatives are pleading with members of the public to contact them if anyone has any information that may lead to her whereabouts. They can be contacted on telephone number 335–0642.

Lailoon Bhola, the missing woman’s sister, said Khan would normally be at a location in the Crabwood Creek backdam since her [Khan’s] husband is the caretaker of a businessman’s property and animals there.

However, on February 28, Khan ventured out of the area to restock on groceries as she would normally do at the end of every month. Relatives are claiming, that the following morning she left home around 5 am and joined a canter that usually transports workers to the location.

It was not until four days ago, when Khan’s husband ventured out of the backdam to search for his wife, that relatives learnt that she had not made it into the backdam on March 1. The husband reported to relatives that a workman delivered the groceries to him and so he thought his wife remained out at home, while relatives thought the woman was in the backdam with her husband.

The woman’s family subsequently made a report to the Springlands Police Station.

However, a frustrated Bhola said the police have made no efforts in assisting in locating Khan.
