Corentyne man gets three years for robbing Rose Hall store

A Corentyne man was yesterday sentenced to 36 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to simple larceny and break and enter committed on a store located in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne last week.

Daniel Mc Lennon, 25, unemployed of Lot 163 Rose Hall Town Corentyne was charged with break and enter and larceny committed on the New Classic Collection Store which is located at Independence Arch, Rose Hall Town Corentyne.

Mc Lennon stole a quantity of clothing valued  $300,000, two Bluetooth speaker boxes valued $60,000, ten bottles of perfume valued $30,000 and $30,000 in cash.

The man appeared at the Albion Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh.

Mc Lennon pleaded guilty to the charge and admitted to Magistrate Singh that he indeed stole the items.

He was then sentenced to three years imprisonment.
