My cartoon is an indirect compliment to the strength of women

Dear Editor,

It seems my cartoon ( 14th May 2021) has caused (quite?) a stir, I won’t say “ripple” as it may seem to critics as biggin-up myself …as I have no intentions of doing…but my cartoon IS, in my own layman’s terms a back-handed or indirect compliment to the strength of women. As far as I am concerned men’s insecurities should not trump the self-assuredness of women without whom life will never proliferate.  Imagine, nations have gone to war over women and women have led nations to war…it is innate, that violence may be the answer, when all sensibilities fail…The strongest woman I have ever known is my Mother…she is my strength as well as my weakness…and I have felt her calloused wrath when sensibilities failed me…but I learned from it. She’s probably laughin’ her head off as I write…Thank God for her.

Sincerely,

P. Harris
