Hosia Ageday, the man accused of killing his mother on Tuesday at her Kara Kara, Linden residence, died yesterday after complaining of feeling unwell.

According to Region 10 Commander Hugh Winter, Ageday was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead.

Ageday was arrested after his 56-year-old mother, Wanda Patricia Wilson, also known as ‘Sheila,’ was found with injuries to her head and face, which appeared to have been bashed in.

The police, in a release, stated that Wilson was found after ranks visited her home at the request of an eyewitness, who reported that something was wrong based on his observations.

The eyewitness stated that he was called to make checks on the now-deceased woman and her son, who resided at the same property.

On arrival at the home, the eyewitness met with the suspect and observed that the entire dining area was ransacked and furniture and appliances scattered about.

This prompted him to proceed to the Mackenzie Police Station, where he made report based on what he saw and subsequently took police ranks back to the house.

On arrival at the scene, the ranks did a walk-through and observed that the entire house was ransacked. The victim’s body was discovered in a bedroom on a bed with a door atop her.

The body was examined for marks of violence and the head and face appeared to have been bashed in.

The woman was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where she was pronounced dead on arrival and the body was escorted to the Pensioner Funeral Home to await a post-mortem examination.
