Two more men die from COVID, 83 new cases

The Ministry of Health yesterday said that as of June 12, 2021, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 426.

The latest fatalities are two men, a 63-year-old from Region 6 (East Berbice- Corentyne) and a 71-year-old from Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). They died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.

Meanwhile, the ministry yesterday said 83 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded and 23 persons are in the ICU.
